One of our biggest events every year is WeCARE Week™, which occurs on the first week of each November. During this week, our entire national workforce mobilizes as an army of volunteers to help out at local charities, such as the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) – an organization that provides a “home away from home” for families of critically ill children who are receiving treatment at a hospital.
Our volunteers do whatever is needed to help out, including providing services such as:
- – Washing windows
- – Landscaping and lawn care services
- – Planting flower bulbs
- – Installing mulch
- – Cleaning up landscapes
- – Cooking and serving meals
The History of WeCARE Week
Originally, this was a one-day event named Monika Day in memory of a beloved family member. In a very moving and much appreciated spirit of C.A.R.E., friends and colleagues from all across North America joined us in celebration of her life. In 2013, the event was renamed WeCARE Day. Today, the event has grown into WeCARE Week because, as we expand internationally, we believe it is important to share our culture of CARE with everyone.
We are proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities during WeCARE Week.
